Shoots Day 1

Shereen has just suddenly disappeared altogether from college, people are starting to wonder where she's gone. Even Ms. Jenny said her parents can't be contacted. Shereen if you're reading this, WHERE ARE YOU?? Please let us know...

So AnakWarna Pictures were left with 4 people, Ito, Zul, Atiqah, and myself. Seeing last friday's shoot, we (and Mr. Eddie) realised we needed another person in the group. So TA-DA! Melissa is our new Editor! Imported from Infamous Productions, and willingly exported by their producer.

For our DP Reel, we decided to do a short clip that's like... Aggressive-Passive. The story is basically about this guy who gets chased by a monster of some sort (we're thinking Big Bird or Elmo. Or BARNEY) in a dream. So yeah, he gets chased and all, then the whole thing becomes passive once he wakes up and realise that it's all just a dream.

Anyway, we went out and shot a few scenes (indoor shots) at Ito's house at Palm Springs. His crib was just the right setting for our whole story line. I would really like to post some pictures but the internet connection here just sucks big time. Maybe later.

As I was saying, we were shooting a few scenes at Ito's place and even though it's bright outside, his house can be a really dark place. (wth am I saying). So eeyeah, now that we have Mel, she'll be our actress alongside Zul.

EDIT : April 1st 2008 - Our storyline has changed a little, at first we wanted it to end with Zul waking up and realising it was all just a dream, and he becomes happy at the end of the reel cause no Barney/Elmo/BigBird was really chasing him. Now the ending has changed... I'll save it till the reel is done. Hehe.

It's week 12 already ( I've been wanting to post this blog since ages ago) and it's the final week for us to complete our shooting for this final project. time is VERY limited. Extremely limited. Our next shoot will be on Thursday and Friday's our last chance. I have faith in my team members and I'm sure we'll be able to get it done.

Props needed for next shoot:

High Heels, Hair Wax, a Dress, a Teddy Bear, and Make Up.

Sorry Mel! heehee.

pictures soon!

Can't wait to see how you'd film an aggressive teddy bear chasing Zul.

And Barney,Elmo,Big Bird. Gosh some imagination you kids got there. It's all fine and dandy but you really should think about how you'd shoot all those scenes? How are you going to include Barney Big Bird and the likes.

cool thing bout shooting dreams is you could stretch it to extreme lengths.no boundaries, just imagination.but the execution of that imagination would be important.think michel gondry.he's got great surrealistic vision but he's also creative in finding the techniques to capture his imagination on film.or video in your case.
